Apple Making iMacs in the United States

Brian Williams interviews Apple’s head CEO Tim Cook tonight on the program Rock Center. A stunning announcement comes from this short, pre-program clip that Apple plans to bring the manufacturing of an entire line of iMacs to the United States. Wow, what a feel good story. Only time will tell whether they can pull it off or not. Cook mentions building electronic products in the US is not as much about price issues as it is about skilled worker issues. He mentions that building electronics has never been big in the US compared to the far east so it’s challenging to find the right skilled workers to make it happen. Good luck Apple. You guys are always on the cutting edge of doing things differently.
