Find Your Photographic Passion & See The World – This Guy Did
The thing I love about photography is the immense variety of subject matter and specialities we have access to. I began my career shooting news, weddings, commercial assignments and printing in the darkroom, all the while yearning to specialize in nature and the outdoors. However, as I mentioned above, I was participating in over four different areas of photography, not including the nature work I was producing on the side. How many professions give you this many opportunities to be creative? Not many and it’s a major factor in my love of story telling with visual media.
This morning I want to share with you an inspirational story about a photographer from New York and how he’s following his passion telling the story of immigrants from around the world, all of them right in his backyard – New York City. I found this report while viewing the news on my iPad during my morning trip to the gym (the iPad is an amazing tool for taking your mind off a five mile workout). Take a few moments to view the video of a man that just couldn’t put the camera down, think about what drives your desire to capture images, and then form a plan to start your project to make a difference in the world.

Beautiful and inspiring story! Thanks for sharing, Dan. Please keep going to the gym and finding more cool stuff on your iPad 😉

I’ll keep working on both fronts, in the gym and finding new stories. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
