Shooting Nikon’s New D600 in Brazil
Tanya and I just finished our first two week shoot in the wilds of the Pantanal of Brazil. I was shooting the D4 and the new D800 on this first trip. I’m still processing the images so I don’t have anything to share, but it was so exhilarating to be shooting the pro bodies once again. Many of you know I was a big fan of the D7000 and I still am, but the added predictive AF capabilities of the D800 and D4 were stunning! We had lots and lots of birds to work with in AF and I was extremely impressed with what we were able to capture. I’ll be sharing those images in a couple of weeks. Sorry for the delay but we’re headed back into the wild at the end of this week.

I’m pleased to announce that I’ll be bringing with me the new Nikon D600. It’s not considered a professional body but I’m excited to see how it performs. I’ll be busy getting all the details together on all three Nikons that are all new to me. Nikon is really hitting on all cylinders these days. Really very exciting times in photography. Stay tuned.

I just returned from North Platte NE to shoot Union Pacific’s 150th birthday at Rail Fest 2012 with my Nikon D4 and D800. Like you, they performed fantastic. What great cameras. I am so pleased I got them. I also took my new 200-400 to take photos from the visitor observation tower at Baily Yard and it too did great.
