SupplierPay Program Helps Small Business Owners
SupplierPay program helps small business owners. The Obama administration recently developed a new program to encourage large corporations like Apple to agree to start paying their small suppliers on a more timely basis. Hallelujah!!! I’ve been in business since I was 16 years old and I could never understand why a large New York skyscraper-based corporation like Hearst Publishing or any other publisher would take 30-90 days to pay their bills.
As an independent photographer I’ve always needed every dime I could get to help fund new shoots and pay for film expenses, trip costs, camera gear, etc. I’ve had publishers take as long as six months to pay a $500 invoice. This is a phenomenal program that is directly targeted at the little guy. Apple is one of the first companies to agree to the new program and have promised to start paying their suppliers within 15 days of being invoiced. What a freaking amazing idea. Thank you Apple and thank you Obama administration. Republican, Democrat, or Tea Party gunslinger you have to love this new program.
