Yellowstone Photo Tour 2014 – Day 3
Today was very slow wildlife wise. The first two days we spent a lot of time working with the swans and other creatures outside of West Yellowstone on the way to Madison Junction. We’ve had very little luck finding almost ANY elk. Seems the wolves have done their intended mission of reducing elk numbers dramatically. Thankfully there are still bison but the elk are few and far between. We found one that had died of unknown causes but it didn’t look as though it had fallen to a predator. Other than that today we worked with a Bald Eagle, stopped at the Firehole Falls and Old Faithful. Unfortunately, wildlife isn’t predictable. Here are a few photos from our day.
